Scholarship awards are between $500-$1000 and awarded directly to successful applicants. Scholarships may be used towards student's college tuition, a laptop computer, text books, or basic needs. The scholarship is open to all backgrounds from historically underserved areas, regardless of immigration status. Reyes Scholars are eligible to renew their award for up to four years.

New Scholar Eligibility

Must be a graduating senior of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Fresno, CA;

Must be accepted and enrolled as a full-time for the academic year as an undergraduate student at a 2-year or 4-year accredited institution;

Must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need;

Must have a minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale or higher cumulative GPA;

Must submit a Letter of Recommendation from a school official, mentor, community leader, or employment supervisor who will support your candidacy for this scholarship. Family members and friends are not allowed to write letters.

Students must demonstrate a minimum of 40 hours of community service or related service for current year;

Awards will range between $500 - $1000.

Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at a 2-year or 4-year accredited institution;

Must maintain a minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA;

Must show evidence of enrollment as a full time student for academic year;

Must provide a personal statement describing the purpose and plans for the scholarship funds;

Must submit an academic plan or academic sheet outlining your graduation course requirements for your major;
